Inspired by the diverse cultural and culinary options to be found in our dense and dynamic neighborhood, the Chelsea Music Festival is an annual “multi-dimensional exploration of the interplay of music, the visual arts and inventive culinary expression…in established as well as unconventional settings.”

This year’s French-Japanese Festival theme includes commemorations of the 150th anniversary of French composer Claude Debussy and the Centennial of the U.S. Cherry Blossom Festival. Classical, jazz, themed culinary receptions, family and late-night events, panel discussions and free outdoor performances are among the offerings.

Fri., June 15 through Sat., June 23 at various venues (Rubin Museum of Art, The High Line, Dillon Gallery, Leo Baeck Institute, Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, New York Center for Art and Media Studies and the Park Avenue Armory).
